Do y'all want to change to tshirt instead? Cos our design may look weird on polo.
Also, does anyone have suggestions on the designs/ how we can reduce the number of colours so it'll be cheaper? ;D

MATH IS A BEAUTIFUL LANGUAGE

1. We're like an asymptote - so close yet so far
Asymptote: Tending towards 0 but it will never. ever. reach zero. It will become like negatve 1/10000000000000000000000000 but NEVER. reach zero. Sad right?!
2. You're a sweetie 3.14159265
Also known as: Your'e a sweetie π
3. You're sin^2, I'm cos^2. Together, we are one.
Trigonometric identity: sin^2 + cos^2 = 1
4. With great power^∞ comes great responsibility.
Pun on power as in influence, and power as in exponents.
5. When your life is upside down, reciprocate it.
Reciprocal of x = 1/x i.e. "flip" it upside-down
6. Live life in absolute value!
|x| =
x if x is positive
-x if x is negative
7. You make me irrational.
Irrational = Crazy (that's English, not Mathematics)
8. We crossed paths like the x-axis meets the y-axis.
9. Even if you have no power, you're still my number one.
x^0 = 1 (x=/0)
10. I'm 3 and you're 1 (or any other number). Without you, I'll never be perfect!
3 + 1 = 4 (perfect square)
11. Love over nothing = udefined
x/0 = undefined
12. Our love is like a parabola, though it may have its ups and downs, but eventually we still lie on the same curve.
13. Life is like a matrice: you just can't find your way out of complication.
Matrice is a homonym of Matrix, like a maze. (English not Mathematics)
14. Why use Twitter when you've got Theta?
15. Why do you rarely find mathematicians spending time at the beach? Because they have sine and cosine to get a tan, and don't need the sun!
If you know the value of sine and cosine, you can deduce the value of tangent therefore "get a tan".
16. Grasp all opportunities, because they're all tangent to life.
When a line is tangent to a curve, it only meets the curve at one point. i.e. you'll come across this opportunity once and only once.
17. Good is influential, and influential is good. It's a circular sort of definition. To find the parameters (perimeters) of the argument, use 2πr!
Circular definition is a circle, so perimeter of a circle is the circumference which is 2πr.
18. My love for you is so complex that it will never be negative. OR
My hatred for you is so complex that it will never be positive.
Complex roots to quadratic equations are either always negative, or always positive.
SCIENCE, TOO, IS A BEAUTIFUL LANGUAGE

1. You're Hydrogen and I'm a lighted splint - you make my heart POP!
When a lighted splint is inserted into Hydrogen, the flame is extinguished with a "pop" sound.
2. You're Oxygen and I'm a glowing splint - whenever I see you, my love for you is rekindled.
When a glowing splint is inserted into Oxygen, the flame is rekindled.
3. I'm a broken circuit. You're the light bulb who can complete me and light up my life.
The light bulb is the missing link in the circuit.
4. According to Newton's 3rd law of motion, I love you and so you love me too.
If a force acts upon a body, then an equal and opposite force must act upon the body that exerts the force. Because I love you (action), there is an equal (the force is love) and opposite (you to me instead of me to you) reaction.
5. According to Newton's law of inertia, I will never stop loving you.
An object in motion tends to stay in motion unless an external force acts upon it.
6. May the mass*acceleration be with you.
force = mass * acceleration
7. Why did Carbon marry Hydrogen? They bonded well from the minute they met.
Covalent bonding.
